Copyright Policy
It is the intent of The Hill Center for World Studies
to adhere to the provisions of the United States Copyright
Act (Title 17 of the United States Code) and congressional
guidelines. The Hill Center for World Studies does
not condone the illegal use or reproduction of copyrighted
materials in any form. Employees who willfully disregard
the The Hill Center for World Studies Copyright Policy,
do so at their own risk and assume all liability.The
Director of The Hill Center for World Studies or a
designee shall be responsible for:
(a) enforcing the Copyright Policy;
(b) distributing and periodically revising the Copyright
Manual;
(c) conducting training programs to assure that
employees understand copyright and fair use;
(d) answering questions about the copyright law;
(e) maintaining appropriate records of permissions,
agreements, licenses, and registrations;
(f) placing appropriate copyright warning notices
on or near copying equipment;
(g) and other related duties, as needed.
